FFF CHAMOSO

ILR# 246786
Born 2/23/03

Chileno Chasca x Senorita Hermosa

Its Labor Day weekend 2003 and our mission is to buy the best Suri-fleeced llama male at the Burgess’s Final Fiesta. We don’t want to sacrifice llama purity and size for fleece characteristics.  We measure every male and female we are interested in.  After several minutes of lively bidding we purchased Chamoso for $58,000.  We are still giggling, this guy just gets better. At 24 months he has lock on top of lock and he stands over 6 feet tall and 44 inches to the withers. His luster requires a number 3 green lenses in our sunglasses.

Cheryl showed him at the first Suri fleece  ALSA show out West at the 2004 WVLA Ag Fest and he won Yearling Suri Male in the Gold Show and qualified for the 2004 ALSA Western Regional Championship in Suri Llama Males.

Fast Forward to 2006, and he is 47 inches to the withers!  Sweet as can be, and suri fleeced just 6 months after shearing on his second fleece!  His first few babies are suri, even out of non-suri dams.

He was keured into the Suri Llama Association (SLA) registry with an almost perfect score for fiber and conformation. . . on his second fleece!  Amazing for any suri llama.  Especially one who is 6 foot 6 inches at the pole.

Stud Fee: $1,500.

HCLA BOLIVIAN OVER EXPOSED

ILR# 220887
Born July 23, 2000 in British Columbia, Canada
Exported to the USA in May 2002

Bolivian  Radical x HCLA Bolivian Dayna

Over Exposed placed seven crias in the top six places at the 2005 Celebrity Sale World Futurity, including three first or second places.  Suri Suri, Bryl Creem, and Greaseball, took 1st, 2nd, and 5th in the juvenile Suri male class.  Stilletto, Splashy, and Grand Finalli stood out in the juvenile Suri female.  Over Exposed placed second in Get of Sire out of 19 entrants.

Over Exposed won the Get of Sire at the 2006 West Coast LFA.  His crias, Greaseball, High Interest, Stilletto, and Keepsake, won all four of their classes at this prestigious show.  Wow!

We purchased Over Exposed from Laura and Rick Avdich. Rick went to Bolivia shortly after we imported llamas from Bolivia and he went on a long search for new genetics. He imported the last group of Bolivian Llamas into North America. We visited Rick and Laura right after the 2002 Celebrity World Futurity, where they won 3 of the 5 futurity classes and bought what we all thought was their best male, and you know what, he is!

Over Exposed production has the same cool, slick, fine handle like their father. We are talking about luster and lock. He was so bright with luster that we have to “over expose” his image when we take a picture. Rick had asked Andy how he took photos of bright suris and Andy told him to just change the F-stop a couple and over expose.

We donated an Over Exposed stud service at a fund raiser for the Llama Futurity Association at the 2003 LFA show. The winning bid of $3,500 was a record that day and went to Stacy Mashburn of King Ransom Stable in Ringgold, Georgia.

Over Exposed has rare,  fresh, Suri  bloodlines. If you are looking to put lock or luster into your Suri fiber program, consider Over Exposed.

PAPA NOEL

ILR# 92854
Born June 23, 1990

Mr. Harley #0008 x Concepion #230

Our incredible, magnificent, pure Chilean herd sire, co-0wned with Meadow Woods Farm in Washington. Gray and white drapey, single coat fleece with remarkable fineness (20 micron), throughout his life.

Everyone knows Papa. He was the first and only male to win an ALSA Regional Get of Sire Championship 4 years in a row. Not only is he well known in the ALSA show circuit but in the Celebrity World Futurity his offspring have consistently been in the top. We won class4 with Desi’s Dream in1998 and took 2nd with Aviance in 1997.

Now this winning tradition continues with his sons and daughters in our herd.  We are breeding 2 of his sons, Prime Plus One and Papa Zen. Both are producing 20 micron winners like Papa.
