CLINICS CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED

Scanning Electron Microscopy of Suri Alpaca Fiber And Other Members of the Camel Family.

This one hour and fifteen minute Power Point Presentation has revolutionized how suri breeder's and the textile industry look at suri alpacas!  The next scheduled presentaiton is at The Suri Network's 2005 Suri Summer Symposium, August 19-21 in Estes Park, CO.  I will also be speaking at The Private Collection auction seminars on Sunday, September 18th, 2005 in Findlay, Ohio, and The Suri Network Fleece Symposium, November 11, 2005, in Columbus, OH.

Identifying Suri Characteristics
This one and a half hour long slide show is an in-depth collection of 140  photographs taken over a thirty year period in both North and South America.  After viewing the presentation, you will be able to confidently identify suri characteristics that naturally occur in the breed. This slide show is the most complete reference of suri characteristics ever assembled. I follow the presentation by a hands-on evaluation.

Evaluating Shorn Suri Alpacas
I present a fascinating collection of before and after slides on suri alpacas in their virgin fleece, followed by the re-growth in two- month increments. I follow the presentation by a hands-on evaluation.

The Suri Summit
We hosted the first Suri Summit in 2001 at our ranch in Bend, Oregon. This major event was soon followed by The Suri Network’s Suri Forum, at the AOB/ARI Mid-Winter Conference in Las Vegas, and the Suri Summit East, sponsored by Ruth Ingelfield, Dr. Connie Linn, and Tom and LuAnn Lumsden, in White Hall, Maryland, in 2003.
